Helping your child with their unique behavioral and learning differences

Helping Children Succeed

Child development is the physical, emotional and intellectual progress your child makes as they grow older.  If your child has chronic behavioral problems, trouble learning or developmental delays, they may be referred to a child development specialist for some extra help. We treat children from infancy through adolescence and help determine what causes these challenges.

Developmental and behavioral disorders are among the most common conditions in pediatrics. At Lee Health we provide families with education to understand a developmental/behavioral diagnosis, support to cope with some of the challenges, and assistance finding resources for therapies and other interventions.

Conditions We Treat

If you’re concerned about your child’s physical, emotional, behavioral or social development, your physician will want to look into what might be going on. Some conditions we treat are:

  • Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
  • Developmental delays
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • Language and learning disorders
  • Oppositional defiant disorder
  • We do not perform ADOS (autism diagnostic observation schedule) and psychoeducational evaluations but can provide the referrals if necessary
