Biography

A board certified Adolescent Medicine specialist, Dr. Marcela Nur joined the Lee Physician Group in November 2020 after working in Academic Medicine for 10 years.

She specializes in adolescent reproductive health, menstrual disorders such as heavy, prolonged, irregular or painful menstrual periods and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). She provides testing and treatment for STI's as well as education and prescription of contraception for adolescents.

She also cares for adolescents and young adults with eating disorders, ADHD, depression, anxiety and difficulty coping with chronic illnesses.

She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. She has presented her research on menstrual disorders, HPV vaccination and mental health issues in adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes at national meetings, and her work has appeared in the Journal of Pediatrics and the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Dr. Nur is finally living her dream of moving to the West Coast of Florida with her husband Bruce, her daughter Victoria and her two dogs. She loves nature and spending time with her family.

Dr Nur's goal is to provide the best evidence based health care to adolescents in Southwest Florida.

    Everyone in the whole office was Super nice and friendly!! It was the best visit, we have ever had ! They all made us feel welcome, not rushed and spoke to us at great length. The team they have at the entire office is amazing!!

    The entire staff was excellent. I was well informed on how they would treat my daughter's condition. DR Nur went out of her way to call us a few times a day to check on my daughter. During our visits everything was explained so we would understand her part to solve my daughters condition . The facility is top notch and very little wait time . From when you enter to facility and even the parking lot has a electric golf cart to give you a ride . It been very well thought out

    Everyone was outstanding. It really helped that people walked us to where we needed to be since we weren't familiar with the hospital. Very friendly and helpful. I was incredibly impressed by the culture.

    Dr. Nur was genuinely concerned about my daughters condition, she went above and beyond and back into my daughters pediatricians notes back many years and figure out a possible cause for her current behaviors and issues. She is absolutely the best at what she does. Thank you.

    Dr Nur has helped my daughter with an eating disorder, depression and self harm. She shows my daughter compassion and respect during each visit. Dr Nur always spends plenty of time with my daughter, gets to know her, and explains things in a way she understand s. I have recommended Dr Nur in the past and would do it again.
